Yahne is the founder of the firm, handling all new client matters from Estate Planning (domestic and international), Probate and Trust Administration (domestic and international), and Special Needs Planning, to Senior Protection including asset protection trusts, Medicaid planning, senior housing issues, and government and VA benefits.
Yahne started Miorini Law in 2009. She has over 30 years of experience, with a French J.D./Ph.D. from La Sorbonne and an LL.M. from the George Washington University Law School. Through her involvement in local professional organizations, she has been chair of several committees, past president of VAELA (the Virginia Chapter of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys), and named Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year in 2006 by the Fairfax Bar Association. She received a decoration from the French government for her public service, la médaille du Chevalier de l’Ordre national du mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit) and is currently the President of the Comité Tricolore.
Her practice on domestic and international estate planning includes Wills, Revocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives, Living Wills, Special Needs Trusts, Pet Trusts, Life Insurance Trusts, and other irrevocable trusts. She counsels clients with multi-million dollar estates including non-US citizens with overseas assets. She also assists clients with real estate investments in France.
Her practice on probate, trust administration and related tax matters, includes assisting executors and trustees or protecting the interest of beneficiaries of an estate. She represents beneficiaries living overseas and monitors international estate administrations. She assists trustees with the funding, administrating, and terminating of trusts including related tax matters (fiduciary income tax returns and estate tax returns).
Her practice on elder law includes long-term care planning, and Medicaid planning. She works with clients to maximize their options ensuring that they age with dignity and respect. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and former Vice President of its Virginia chapter.
